Duncan became the first British athlete to win four medals at an Olympic Games, winning a gold and three silvers in the pool at Tokyo 2020. Duncan entered the record books in Tokyo as he and Tom Dean became the first British pair to win gold and silver in the same swimming event since 1908.Duncan became GBs most decorated Olympic athlete ever from Tokyo

Putting on a show

Duncan grew up in Alloa with his parents and older sister. He enjoyed swimming from a young age and was always keen to compete in the pool. His parents have said Duncan “always gives them a good show” despite the fact they are always “nail-biting and jumping up and down in front of the TV” when watching him.
